Iceland
Here I am again- back on the blahg. I have been planning this trip for many months so if you've had a conversation with me recently- chances are I've brought it up because I am pretty dang excited. (trying to cut back on my exclamation point usage.)
I am renting a camper van (a van with a kitchen and bed in the back) and driving around the perimeter of Iceland!!! (couldn't help myself). To answer any potential questions I have included a short Q&A section:
Q&A -
Question: Camping? Alone? By yourself? Solo? In a foreign country? ARe YoU MAD?
Answer: I'm actually not certain on the official definition of camping- I'm sleeping in the back of a van and planning on taking showers at certain campsites... so.... I'm not sure if that counts :) Also the answer to the next three questions is YES. And I'm doing it on purpose. And I don't think people who are 'mad' (in that sense of the word) are ever qualified to define themselves as such.
Question: Aren't you afraid?
Answer: Not especially. Iceland is super safe (she said as if she had been there before) and if you've been following this blog you know that I bloody traveled around Europe by myself for a month so this type of a trip is much less intimidating :) Plus I do my research so I'm very prepared.
Question: I've heard that Iceland is expensive?
Answer: Ya. Me too. It's going to be a pretty expensive trip TBH. But the flight was pretty cheap, but the camper van is going to be a lot of money :/ Yolo right? (notice my use of text abbreviations to subtly prove I'm hip)
